It all started with a design problem

Meadow was founded in 2020. Aiming to tackle the waste crisis in refill packaging, we realised the existing options out there are just not nice to use. Great products are put in poor packaging. We knew from the start that our solution couldn’t just reduce packaging waste. It had to enhance customer experience too. We also wanted to invent as little as possible, rather optimise what is already available. Not just materials, but supply chains, recycling infrastructure, and consumer behaviour too. By repurposing the aluminium beverage can, we invented a flexible solution that works across industry sectors. From personal care to beauty, from home care to food – and further.

WHY IT'S NEEDED

The potential impact of transitioning global consumer packaged goods to circular packaging got our attention. According to the World Bank, over 2.1 billion tons of waste are produced globally every year, of which only 13.5% is recycled.
